Description: Since the 1990s there has been a major outpouring of new literary talent by upcoming Latino writers based in the United States and writing in English (some are also published in Spanish). Latino literature gives you and your students some inside perspectives on the world of Latino culture in the United States.

In this totally online course, you will discover these exciting new authors and their works for children and adult readers and explore the culture and linguistic milieu of this growing body of literature in a variety of genres to find the authors and works that would help you and your students gain a deeper understanding of Latino culture and its themes and values as expressed in the written word.
